Ethos

Hosted by the two-time Academy Award® nominated actor and activist Woody Harrelson,
ETHOS: A TIME FOR CHANGE lifts the lid on a Pandora’s box of systemic issues that has proven to have a negative impact in every aspect of our lives.

From the environment, our democracy and our personal liberty to conflicts of interest in politics and unregulated corporate power, we cannot change our system until we know how it works.

From director and activist Pete McGrain, ETHOS: A TIME FOR CHANGE sheds light on how we can affect change. With interviews from influential thought-leaders including, author and activist Noam Chomsky (Manufacturing Dissent: The Political Economy of the Mass Media), Chalmers Johnson (Blowback: The Sorrows of Empire), Oscar® winning documentarian Michael Moore and Howard Zinn (A People’s History of the United States) to name a few, ETHOS: A TIME FOR CHANGE will show you how to make meaningful and sustainable change in order to create a world where we can live harmoniously in a clean environment.

Paul McCartney 2011 Wedding: Bride Nancy Shevell Is All Smiles

By Henes Pitt

Sir Paul McCartney officially got married to New York businesswoman Nancy Shevell, 51, in an intimate wedding ceremony attended by close family and friends including drummer Ringo Starr on Sunday, October 9, 2011, the day his late bandmate John Lennon would have turned 71.

The couple, who engaged in May after four years together, said “I do,” at London's Westminster registry office at The Old Marylebone Town Hall, the same venue where McCartney married his late wife, Linda.

The bride wore a simple white dress reportedly created by McCartney's fashion designer daughter, Stella, and a flower on her hair. The Beatles icon’s younger brother Mike served as best man, and daughter Beatrice, 7, from McCartney’s marriage to Heather Mills, served as bridesmaid.

When emerging from the venue to a hail of confetti, the newlyweds were greeted by crowds of fans and well-wishers. They then hosted a reception taking place at McCartney's nearby home in St John's Wood, where workers were seen erecting a marquee in the grounds of the property last Friday.

Sir McCartney had married twice. His first wife, Linda, died of breast cancer in 1998. He was separated from his second model wife, Heather Mills, in 2008. The music icon has five children, including seven-year-old Beatrice with Mills. Nancy Shevell has had a family with New York lawyer Bruce Blakeman, but they split up in 2007 after more than 20 years together. They have a teenaged son.

Unlike McCartney’s lavish wedding to Mills at a remote Irish castle many years ago, the Sunday’s afternoon ceremony was simple, understated and warm. “I feel absolutely wonderful," McCartney told fans as he arrived at his home after the ceremony.”
