Pit-Bull VX is the brand-new armored SWAT truck of Alpine which will make its debut at the International Association of Chiefs of Police Conference at the end of this month. This kind of truck provides the best protection from all sorts of attacks ranging from small firearms to major mine blasts.
Alpine Armoring is a leading supplier and manufacturer of SWAT Trucks to police and military organizations all over the world. VX is a bullet-and-blast resistant box on wheels. Moreover, every window on the vehicle is filled with ballistic glass that'll shed small arms fire like they're pebbles and even resist a close-range shot from a high-powered rifle (up to 7.62x39 and 5.56x45). Interestingly, Pit-Bull VX is actually underweight. In spite of the addition of armoring, the VX weighs in at just 16,600 pounds. Especially, Alpine, the company which armored the VX, has maintained the stock dashboard, OEM seats and the controls work just like in a Ford F-550 for the driver and the front passenger. The changes are seen at the back of this car, starting with the angled roof and floor, going through gear and ending with the invincibility against mines and modern frag explosives. “If you’re a bad guy and you see this rolling up, you may start to reconsider the bad choices you’ve made in life.” said Alpine’s Ron.
