By Henes Pitt

Former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi was reported to be buried on early Tuesday morning at a secretly deep location in the desert that was home to his Bedouin tribal ancestors. Gaddafi, 69, was buried with his son Muatassim and former Defence Minister Abu Bakr Younis. Earlier, hundreds of people from the young to old waited in line in order to see the dead body of Muammar Gaddafi despite the hot weather. Gaddafi’s corpse had been placed in a cold storage in Misrata city, Libya for public display. Libyan people considered Gaddafi’s death as a victory after his 42 years of power. Therefore, a trend of killing rose up in Libya and a deep investigation into Gaddafi’s death will be definitely taken following the international human rights for people who were killed by public.

A National Transitional Council (NTC) official said that Gaddafi's family wanted the bodies of him and his son to be buried outside the hometown of Sirte. He also confirmed these bodies were buried at dawn in a secret location in order to prevent it from becoming a pilgrimage site for the old regime's loyalists. Earlier, another NTC official had told that Col Gaddafi would be buried in a "simple" ceremony with "sheikhs attending" on Tuesday.
