Ethos

Hosted by the two-time Academy Award® nominated actor and activist Woody Harrelson,
ETHOS: A TIME FOR CHANGE lifts the lid on a Pandora’s box of systemic issues that has proven to have a negative impact in every aspect of our lives.

From the environment, our democracy and our personal liberty to conflicts of interest in politics and unregulated corporate power, we cannot change our system until we know how it works.

From director and activist Pete McGrain, ETHOS: A TIME FOR CHANGE sheds light on how we can affect change. With interviews from influential thought-leaders including, author and activist Noam Chomsky (Manufacturing Dissent: The Political Economy of the Mass Media), Chalmers Johnson (Blowback: The Sorrows of Empire), Oscar® winning documentarian Michael Moore and Howard Zinn (A People’s History of the United States) to name a few, ETHOS: A TIME FOR CHANGE will show you how to make meaningful and sustainable change in order to create a world where we can live harmoniously in a clean environment.

By Taylor Meyer

Women from around the world are eager to travel to England this week to promote the final of the Miss World contest, which is set to take place on Sunday, the 6th November 2011 at Earls Court Exhibition Centre in London. After several days of the Miss World 2011 pageant, Venezuela’s Ivian Sarcos has been emerged to be a new favorite beauty for the crown. Seven of the competition’s judges rated Ivian Sarcos with a perfect “5”, meaning a candidate with potential to win. The beauties from Hungary, Ireland and Spain were said to follow right behind her.

Ivian Sarcos is known with the full name Ivian Lunasol Sarcos Colmenares. She has become famous since 2010 after joining several Venezuelan beauty contests, where she won the title of Miss Amazonas 2010 and Miss World Venezuela 2010 and was honored as a Venezuelan beauty queen. Ivian Sarcos is a Diplomacy student who stands 1.80 m (5’11″) tall.

Being an orphan at the age of eight as her parents passed away, Miss World 2011 candidate Ivian Sarcos was raised by the nuns in a convent in Tachira and was named Sora Ivian. Ivian intended to become a nun, but she eventually gave up the idea and realized that her appearance would give her a chance to become famous and she began her career as a model.

Ivian Sarcos used to do many jobs from receptionist, selling to renting phones in order to get money. After years of obstacles, Ivian has a degree in human resources and currently works for a broadcasting company. Today, the 21-year-old girl’s dream seems to be coming true as she represent her country in the upcoming 2011 Miss World pageant and could become the most beautiful woman in the world.
