Miss Wisconsin Laura Kaeppeler was named the Miss America 2012 winner during the Miss USA Beauty Pageant held in the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino venue, Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday night, 14 January 2012. The 23-year-old Miss Wisconsin beauty queen impressed the judges and audiences in an amazing achromatic swimsuit, a colored beaded eve scrubs, and with a soft opera disclosure. Miss Oklahoma Betty Thompson and Miss New York Kaitlyn Monte were placed the second and third, respectively.
The 23-year-old winner Laura Kaeppeler from Wisconsin was born in March 1988 and raised in Kenosha. She is the first woman representing Wisconsin to win Miss America since Terry Anne Meeuwsen won in 1973. The 23-year-old brunette was crowned in Las Vegas thanks to her physical assets and her well thought campaign. During the event, she expresses her her childhood experiences rather than the usual “peace-on-earth” and “promote-the environment” campaigns – that proves her genuine and intelligent, not just beautiful, brought her success.
