Football fans were shocked after hearing the news from the Football Association of Wales that Welsh national manager Gary Speed died at the age of just 42 on November 27, 2011. Gary Speed was found hanged at his £1.5million mansion in Huntington, on the outskirts of Cheshire where he lived with his wife and his two sons by his 40-year-old wife Louise, who has supported him throughout his career. According to the police, Gary Speed’s mystery death took place just after 7am and could be a suicide because there “were no suspicious circumstances.”

It is shocked that only hours earlier, the Wales manager Gary Speed had appeared happy and optimistic on Saturday lunchtime’s BBC Football Focus show, chatting and joking to fellow football figures who expressed shocked and disbelief. Hours later, the funeral tributes to Gary Speed poured in from players, former stars, friends and fans.

Comedian and radio personality Patrice O'Neal died at 41 at a New York-area hospital on Tuesday morning as a result of a stroke he suffered back in October after a long battle with diabetes. Patrice O'Neal is survived by his wife, Vondecarlo Brown, his stepdaughter, Aymilyon, his sister, Zinder, and his mother, Georgia.

Jonathan Brandstein, Patrice O'Neal's manager, said the family wished to thank "all of the fans and friends who have expressed an outpouring of love and support for Patrice these past weeks." "Many of us have lost a close and loved friend; all of us have lost a true comic genius” Jonathan Brandstein said in a statement. Charlie Sheen who had been fired from the hit CBS comedy “Two and a Half Men” in September tweeted: "The entertainment world as well as the world at large lost a brilliant man. Patrice O'Neal was a regular guest on the program “Opie & Anthony Radio Show” and was a familiar face at some New York City TV shows such as "Chappelle Show," "The Office," and "Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn. Patrice O'Neal’s death was announced on Twitter by Opie of the Opie & Anthony Radio Show on Sirius/XM satellite radio: “Yes, it’s true that our pal Patrice O’Neal has passed away,” Opie tweeted. “The funniest and best thinker I’ve ever known PERIOD. #devastated." Syracuse Basketball Coach Bernie Fine Fired and His Wife’s Reactions

In the wake of the sex abuse investigation, 65-year-old Bernie Fine has been terminated from his position as an assistant men's basketball coach on the Syracuse University staff on Sunday night according to a statement released by Kevin Quinn, the senior vice president for public affairs at Syracuse University. In fact, the statement says Syracuse basketball coach Bernie Fine who was in his 36th season at his alma mater has been “terminated, effective immediately.” "The events of the past week have shaken us all," Chancellor Cantor said in a statement Sunday. "No other witnesses came forward during the university investigation (in 2005), and those who felt they knew Bernie best could not imagine what has unfolded."

After former Syracuse ball boy Bobby Davis and his stepbrother, Mike Lang, accused him of harassing them, Bernie Fine was placed on administrative leave earlier this month. Along with ESPN and the Post-Standard, Syracuse police investigated Bobby Davis’ charges in 2003, and none of those outfits could confirm his story. Moreover, the university also examined the charges in 2005 and did not find anything to warrant a punishment of Bernie Fine. Interestingly, on Sunday, another alleged victim with claims against Bernie Fine was identified. Zack Tomaselli, 23, of Lewiston, Maine signed a statement providing the basis for a warrant used to search Bernie Fine's home Friday. Zach Tomaselli told Syracuse police on Wednesday that Bernie Fine molested him in 2002 in a Pittsburgh hotel room before a game against Pittsburgh when Tomaselli was 13. Bernie Fine has denied the allegations since they became public, calling them “patently false.”

Football fans at Stamford Bridge are set to enjoy the fantastic English Premier League (EPL) clash between Chelsea and Wolverhampton Wanderers when the Blues host Wolves in match week 13, on Saturday, 26 November 2011. While Chelsea is in desperate need of a win against Wolves at Stamford Bridge to bounce back from losses in Europe and the Premier League, Wolves will need to improve their poor away record this season. Currently, the Blues have 22 points in fifth with Liverpool and Arsenal and needs three points to keep up with Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur. Wolves, on the other hand, stand 17th on the table thanks to 11 points. The clash remains a game to watch this week.

In the last 10 matches, the Blues have won 6 and lost 4 and it has not been the good four weeks for Chelsea and manager Andre Villas-Boas. Most recently, the Blues has successive 2-1 losses to Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen which is followed by a damaging 5-3 loss at home to Arsenal. Getting 22 points after 12 games, this is Chelsea’s poorest start to a Premier League campaign since 2002/03. The poor performance puts pressure onto manager Andre Villas-Boas to recover by winning against Wolves. As the heat is starting to be turned up on Villas-Boas, the Portuguese coach is facing possibility to be sacked just five months after owner Roman Abramovic spending £13 million on him as Carlo Ancelotti’s replacement. Hence, the three points for Chelsea in their next game would boost Villas-Boas’ hopes of holding onto his job and create Blues’ chances of finishing in the top four alongside Man City and Man Utd.
