Women's soccer star Hope Solo, NBA star Blake Griffin, and star goalkeeper Tim Howard are some of athletes posing their muscular bodies by baring it all when they are chosen to grace the covers of ESPN Magazine's 2011 "Body Issue". The annual issue focuses on the beauty of the athletic body and self-confidence.
Soccer star and "Dancing with the Stars" contestant Hope Solo shares that her work in the ballroom is one of the hardest things she's ever done, even more difficult than baring her body on the new cover of ESPN the Magazine. However, Hope Solo is not the only “Dancing With The Stars” alum to make the list, which was released on Wednesday, October 5. Season 4 champ Apolo Anton Ohno and season 5 winner Helio Castroneves also show off their bodies for the issue. Talking about her feeling after exposing her muscular shape, the soccer star shared: "Growing up, I felt insecure about my build," adds the 5'9", 150-lb. athlete. "Guys would say, 'Look at those muscles! You can kick my ass!' I didn't feel feminine. But that's changed in the last four years."

Gretchen Bleiler who won a silver medal at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy, previously turned down ESPN's requests to appear also affirmed that she's one of the athletes appearing on the covers of ESPN The Magazine's third annual "Body Issue".

NBA star Blake Griffin is one of the latest celebrities to take it all off for the world to see. However, like Hope Solo, Griffin says that he was “uncomfortable” at first but got right into action shooting photos that showcase his ripped physique.
